@olafurw.com It’s the biggest fumble of a movie by the 90% done mark I’ve ever seen. Easily +2 on a dice roll grade if the movie had ended before the nonsensical “nothing matters and you weren’t supposed to pay attention or think or follow the plot at all” ending. Then it breaks even that in the last 10 seconds.

They work well for Claude and GPT based models. I set these as “Instructions for Claude” in my Claude app settings - nothing to do with Claude Code.
It makes a world of difference to give the model escape hatches, if nothing else.
@danabra.mov I feel more and more like an outlier with a super strict set of custom inductions. Empty system instructions is just… an ocean of sycophantic slop.
Then again I do a lot of introspection and cause tracing and without instructions the apologetic reflexes trigger so hard every turn derails.
