Being able to extend our own tooling in a few minutes - if you have an Emacsen type of software and a coding agent with enough memories, understanding, and access - is wild.

I build new Emacs features on a whim, from one thread to the next. This is the golden age of building our own tools.

Why’re they called adversarial reviews when they make me so happy?

Joke aside, I have a feeling that the word “adversarial” has stronger connotations between model families than what I’ve been using for a long time; “get XYZ’s perspective”.

Sol has been earning its keep, indeed.

Sol has been earning its keep, indeed.

If you have ADHD. And you do agent things. Can you really trust your own memory about how your agent remembers things? Or… are you, as I am, doomed to build your own memory layer?

Going outside of my “don’t be confidently wrong and ignorant about things online” comfort zone is difficult for me. I keep writing about that, but it never leaves my machine.

This is the 10 meter plunge into the cold Oslo fjord water. Only, it isn’t really that high, and the water wasn’t as freezing as the swirling dark blue waves hinted at. Repeatedly, on the way up.

There are friends in the water. Friends I know, friends I’ve yet to befriend, friends I’ve yet to be a friend to.

I love teaching, helping, giving people tools, building people tools, building people-tools. Yet always inside of some enclosure. In the pool, I suppose, rather than the ocean. But I love the ocean.

So here we go… 3, 2, 1, PLUNGING TIME!
